too much一般和to搭配，构成“太多……以至于不能……”的特殊含义；而so much一般和that 连用，构成“太多……以至于……”，还有就是too much一般是相对独立的，与上文没有太大的关联；而so much与上文的联系十分紧密，不可分割。
